Our Story
Founded in 1978, the Teachers' Union of Zimbabwe (TUZ) was born out of a collective desire for a unified voice to champion the rights and welfare of educators across the nation. For over four decades, we have been at the forefront of advocating for fair wages, safe working conditions, and the professional respect that all teachers deserve.

Secured a 25% salary increase for all public school teachers in 2022.
Successfully lobbied for the 'Safe Schools Initiative' to improve security.
